Alice presented award by Formula One presenter

On Saturday the 15th, Alice was named the British Woman Racing Drivers Club, Elite Gold Star Winner for her success and achievement in 2010. This is the second year in succession she has won the award.

In front of TV crews, an army of photographers and a huge crowd surrounding the British Women’s Racing Drivers Club (BWRDC) stand, the Formula Renault BARC Champion was presented the award by the BBC1 Formula One TV presenter, Jake Humphrey.

This prestigious award is presented on merit to a junior member who has shown the capability of and aspires to become a professional driver.

Alice said: “I am so glad to have won this award, and this is a great way to start the year, not just for me, but for IWI Watches, Silverstone Hotels.com and Immun’Age. To have it be presented by Jake is brilliant and he is such a nice guy and wished me the best of luck for the year!”

Jake said: “Well done to all of the girls and all of the people involved in organising today. I really do think it’s about time that women who are making waves in motor racing are recognised at the very top. So good luck in 2011”.

This year Alice hopes to compete in the Formula Renault UK Championship, which receives LIVE ITV coverage and crowds at the track that match figures of attendance at an average Premier League Football game.
